Key Responsibilities

Testing & Validation Engineer with experience of 5+ years experience in battery testing, where the candidate would have worked hands-on with performance, safety, and environmental testing. The incumbent should be able to do following

1) Testing and Validation to make sure products meet tough standards (IEC, IS, BIS, NABL).

2) Comfortable with tools like AutoCAD Electrical, SAP, and Minitab,

3) Validate product received during Vendor Audits

4) Based on request received from R&D team, he is able to drive testing from inhouse lab as well from 3rd party lab

5) Have to undergo BIS and NABL audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and quality standards 

6) Should have experience in AutoCAD Electrical Design, Proteus, KiCAD etc. 

7) Develop new test kits for checking batteries /Chargers

8) Have to do cut-open of batteries after validation and also analyse the cause & effect of Failure occurence.

9) Have to do Project /Program management for multiple projects in R&D department. He will be part of PMO in the organisation

10) Regularly share the Progress report of ongoing DVP tests

11) Work with his/her team members for sample  making of batteries 

Qualification

BE/B.TEch 

Experience

  1. Should have hands on experience in following  
    • Machines and Equipments
      • Vibration Machine, Mechanical Shock Test Machine
      • HRD, Thermal Chambers, Climatic Chambers
      • Battery Life Cycle Tester, AC Grid Simulator: Should be able to create /check and make new programs and get the testing & validation program done
    • Experience in undergoing BIS and NABL audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and quality standards
    • Proficiency in handling and ensured compliance from testing parameters
    • Proficiency in  with IS 16046 (part 1 and Part 2), IS 16047, IS 16270, IEC 62660-1, IEC 62660-2, IEC 62660-3, IEC 62619, IEC 62620, AIS 156, UN 38.3 and other cells and battery testing standards /guidelines, ensuring the battery safety & performance.
    • Manage and uphold adherence to IEC 60068-2-6, IEC 60068-2-27, IEC 61373, IEC 60068-2-64, JSS 55555, MIL-STD 810H and other vibration and shock testing standards/ guidelines for quality and safety of products.
    • Effectively applying environmental standards, IEC 60068-2-14, IEC 60068-2-1, IEC 60068-2-2, IEC 60068-2-30, IEC 60068-2-13, IEC 60068-2-78, IEC 60529 promoting sustainable practices within the organization.
    • Fulfilling the documents according to ISO/IEC 17025 standards, ensuring precision and adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Keeping detailed records of electrical and electronics testing lab activities as per ISO/IEC 17025 standard, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
