About Us

Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd. (TACO), established in October 1995 by the Tata Group with the aim of participating in and catalysing the modernisation of the Indian automotive components industry. The TACO group, with its 24 manufacturing plants, 5 engineering centres and three export-oriented units, is rapidly expanding its business within India as well as Overseas. Its current OE customers include DaimlerChrysler, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Mahindra and Mahindra, Piaggio, Tata Motors, Toyota, and Volvo.

Key Responsibilities

A. Quality Control & Assurance

  • Monitor and ensure adherence to in-process and final inspection standards
  • Maintain product quality as per company and customer specifications
  • Identify and control defects at various stages of production
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems and procedures (QMS) 

B. Shopfloor Quality Leadership

  • Lead and supervise quality inspectors on the line
  • Allocate manpower and ensure efficient deployment during shifts
  • Provide on-the-job guidance and training to operators on quality standards

C. Process Monitoring & Improvement

  • Track rejection, rework, and scrap trends and take corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance process capability 
  • Implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)

D. Coordination & Cross-functional Support

  • Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support new product trials and validation activities
  • Ensure timely escalation of critical quality concerns

E. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and audit documentation
  • Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF standards and internal audits
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits

Qualification

•BE/Diploma Mechanical

Experience

•4-8 years
