Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory ManagementMaintain accurate records of all materials, spare parts, consumables, and finished goods.Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate inventory availability.Conduct periodic stock verification and cycle counts.Reconcile physical stock with system records.
2. Material Receipt and InspectionReceive incoming materials from suppliers.Verify quantity and documentation against purchase orders and delivery challans.Coordinate quality inspection of received materials.Report discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
3. Storage and PreservationEnsure proper storage of materials as per prescribed standards.Maintain identification, labeling, and traceability of inventory.Implement FIFO (First In First Out) or FEFO (First Expiry First Out) practices where applicable.Protect materials from damage, deterioration, theft, or loss.
4. Material Issue and DispatchIssue materials to production, maintenance, or other departments as per authorized requisitions.Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods or customer orders.Maintain records of all material movements.
5. Inventory Control and Cost ManagementIdentify slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.Minimize inventory carrying costs and material wastage.Support inventory optimization initiatives
