Key Responsibilities

Planning of SHE:

  • Participate in preparing the environment, health and safety policy and plan.
  • Support in preparing SHE budget.
  • Identify and seek guidance from external agencies on SHE matters.
  • Identify agencies to support in deployment and certification of ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001 to develop SHE policy and plan.

 

Execution and Deployment:

  • Formulate Safety, Health and Environmental Teams and conduct safety meetings.
  • Prepare draft documentation for certifications, Work with Departmental Heads for deployment of policies
  • Ensure safety of personnel on the shop floor by adopting various measures with the help of line management
  • Ensures ambient atmosphere on the shop floor, Monitors accidents and initiates corrective and preventive actions.
  • Celebrate Safety Week, ensure upkeep of firefighting equipment’s
  • Execute all SHE projects and ensure safety performance to ensure unform deployment of SHE and reduce accidents.

 

Training and Development:

  • Conduct of safety training for employees to create safety awareness through internal / external trainers.
  • Create awareness and ensure wearing of personal protective equipment.
  • Execute training plan and train all employees including contract employees on subjects like Firefighting, First Aid, Mock Drill etc. to create safety culture.

Statutory compliance:

Ensure statutory Compliance under Factory Act, Petroleum Act, Explosive Act, MPCB norms, Sox etc. IN ORDER to ensure legal compliance of SHE.

AUDITS

  • Preparation & execution of annual SHE audit plan
  • Communicate the audit plan
  • Train and certify internal auditors
  • Compile non compliances and initiate corrective action in consultation with departmental heads.
  • Prepare report to submit HR and CEO.

Qualification

Engineering or Science graduates with Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) with experience in Industrial Safety, health and Environmental in Engineering industry.

Experience

  • Automotive / Auto Components / Manufacturing Industry
  • Experience in Safety & ESG in manufacturing industry
  • Experience in Automotive Industry (Tier1), Assembly Business Unit Preference.

Additional Requirement

  • Ensure EHS compliance & drive safety culture
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments & safety trainings
  • Manage emergency preparedness & safety systems
  • Handle documentation (MIS, MAR, BRSR etc.)
